The Things We Like
Show Notes

Annnnnd here’s a new episode just for you! We share some news announcements including upcoming tech, an album release, livestream show, casting, and a virtual film festival that’s opening with a film about a lovely group of dancing dudes from the Maritimes called The Bhangra Boys. One tidbit that surfaced has K SUPER stoked. There are a fair amount of streaming suggestions too, from a star-studded drama to a LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special (no no, not THAT one).
T reviews Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as it showed up on Game Pass. Much to our chagrin, we continue to be unimpressed with season 2 of The Mandalorian, and share the whys of that. The Simon Says assignments had K sampling Mike Tyson Mysteries and T sharing his thoughts on the Good Omens limited series.

We tell you why psychologists think taking trips down pop culture memory lane is good for your mental health and take a little journey of our own back to the days of compilation CDs like Frosh and Big Shiny Tunes.
Our last segment is one of our most favourite, Hidden Treasures and Guilty Pleasures. T tells us why folk have been wrong to pan the sci-fi war film Battle: Los Angeles, and K talks about one of her favourite humorous novels (and novelists), a perfectly apt-for-the-season read, The Stupidest Angel by Christpher Moore.
One of the things we love to do most is to give independent artists a chance to share their work, and so we finish the recording off with Cevilain’s awesome cover of Miley Cyrus’ Midnight Sky (thanks guys!).

We hope you enjoy!
